Warawut Silpa-archa, the son of the party's founder says Chartthaipattana isn't for sale to Thaksin or anyone else - and he welcomes all comers to join. Mr Warawut said the party was not a commercial business waiting for a merger or acquisition. After the ban on political activities is removed, the Chartthaipattana Party, being a medium-sized party, plans to mobilise funds as it had done before past elections. The party will also keep its options open, he said, explaining that it was normal for a political party to join others in forming a government. But if he was not chosen to lead the party, he would be content working as a member, said Mr Warawut.
